Two Urban Licks

Tonight was my monthly Girls Night Out with some of my friends. This month's dinner was at a yummy place called Two Urban Licks.
When you arrive at the restaurant, you think you're at the wrong place. You valet park on a loading dock after driving through a very sketchy back alley parking lot.
Once you drop off your car, you see the TWO sign to know you're in the right place
This was a pretty great place to eat. The ambiance was great, and our server was very good. The restaurant was pretty noisy (dozens and dozens of people chatting plus a live band). We shared bites (two urban licks?) of our food with each other. I shared my dish with Sarah: shrimp, andouille sausage, okra, potatoes, corn, and citrus in a delicious broth with a side of ciabatta bread. Desert was a brownie banana split. The restaurant was a little pricier than I usually go for, but I think its definitely worth a try.

This is great. I love the post about the chocolate calling your name while waiting on the pharmacy pick up! Totally me right there!!! =) This restaurant sounds SO fun! I wish I had more time to go out and especially with girlfriends. Maybe when the kids are a bit older. I'm so glad you had fun!

I belonged to a group of "Friends Night Out" when I lived in Inidana it was once a month at various restraunts and it was so much fun. At Christmas it was always at somebodys house and we all brought a dish, and donated a few bucks for the main dish, did an ornament ex-change and it was great getting out once a month, for sure.

Good food is worth a few extra dollars! Next time you're in town, we have to go to Il Forno. Have you been there? Mmm....

Wow, the outside looked kinda scary. If it was my first time there I don't know that I would have made it to the inside. Next time on down that way (ya, never been there) I'll have to give it a try.

I did have a great babysitter! The husband of one of the other girls in the group was willing to have Rosie come over because she keeps their other kids occupied. Taylor is by nature a homebody, so most of the time I go out without him...he would rather stay home and play video games than go out.
