My least favorite chore

I snagged this graph off Callie's blog. I can totally relate...for my whole house actually. I'm so glad I've got a husband that will spare my poor eczemic hands and do the dishes for me. Love you Taylor!

I rarely have dirty dishes waiting for a wash up, BUT when I do and there is company coming, I find the oven is a handy dandy hidding place.

They forgot to add "you are pregnant and can't stop cleaning, and you look forward to washing dishes by hand that don't fit in the dishwasher" to the chart.

If only I could bottle this motivation and sell it...

Your chart cracks me up. The fork thing is true for me-- as a "houseguest" (and I use that term loosely) lost several of them, and we only have 15, including the itty-bitty salad forks. Someone is ALWAYS looking for a clean, regular-sized fork.

To which I respond, "Wash them yourselves!"

I'm with you. My hands can't handle the soapy hot water so the hubby does the dishes. Sweet!! The last time I went in with swollen, raw, infected hands the doctor told me to quit cleaning so much and to have my hubby do the dishes. "Dr.'s orders, honey!" Phil's actually been very supportive of the idea since it's not fun having a wife on STEROIDS to heal her hands!!

TOTALLY agree with this 200% (that was a typo, but I decided to leave it!).

Usually, Chris' mess meter goes off a bit before mine and he ends up doing them.

Gah, I hate doing dishes.

I only wash the larger pots and pans and bowls that I'd rather save dishwasher room for.

I love how the responsible adult thing is the smallest one!

I don't mind doing dishes for some reason. In fact, I'd much rather do dishes after each mean (when there are just a few) than sticking them in a dishwasher. I hate unloading the dishwasher. We have one in our apartment and have used it twice in the 1.5 years that we've lived here (and that was when we had visitors). Now ironing... that's a chore I HATE. I'll have a super cute shirt in my closet and I won't wear it for months, simply because I'm too lazy to iron.

That chart needs to go up in my kitchen! Dishes are piling up like Mt. Everest here!

Thanks for all your nice comments. Tell your cute girl hi!
