When I went to SLC back in Jaunary, my family took this picture together. We haven't had a family picture of the 6 of us in years...and my dad just emailed me a bunch of recent pics. My mom has been telling me on the phone how much weight she's lost...but I didn't realize she'd look so different!
And here's my mom. Can you believe how much different she looks in just the last two months?
My mom has dealt with chronic pain which has left her bedridden for much of the last decade. Lately, she has recently been feeling healthy and strong, and I'm so proud of the efforts she's making to live her life and be happy!

I would not beleive that is your mom in the new chic style, She looks great! I'm so happy she is not feeling the pain as before! As far as your dad, beards definately change the look. Does he plan on keeping it for a while?
yeah for Nicole's mom!! My mom has a friend with fibromyalgia who is on chronice pain and it is such a struggle to get up and CHOOSE to live past it everyday! Your mom looks great!
I'm so proud of her. I think that moving out of her home in December, where she'd been ill for almost 15 years, was just the thing she needed. She's been decorating and accomplishing more than she has in ages. Go mom!

Way to go Barbara!! Pain is never an easy issue to deal with. It takes so much effort just to get out of bed. I applaud you and hope it lasts.

Did she cut all her hair off too, or is it just pulled back? That's a crazy change in just 2 months! What's her secret?
I just texted my sister, and apparently she did cut off all her hair (by herself?!?) The weight loss has been eating less convenience foods (Hershey Bars, Granola Bars, and Moon Pies) and cooking real food again. She's up and doing stuff all the time, and I think she's walking too. I'll have to call her to get the scoop.
